Listed below are the applications typically needed for developing property or operating a business.


PERMITS AND LICENSES

Zoning Clearance Certificate (for projects that require no building permit but are regulated by the Zoning Code)

Building Permit Application (for small building projects, e.g. carports, sheds, patio covers, swimming pools, etc.)

Site Plan Procedure  A site plan is required with all building permit applications.

ANNEXATION, REZONING, VARIANCES, DESIGN REVIEW, AND PLATTING

Downtown Design Review Application

Rezoning Procedure and Application

Planned Unit Development (PUD) Procedure and Application  A supplemental PUD is required when requesting a rezoning of land to an office, commercial, or industrial zoning district designation.

Site Development Plan Procedure and Application  A site development plan must be approved by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission prior to the issuance of a building permit for any tract within a district having the supplemental PUD designation.  Refer to the 'Site Plan Procedure' for more information on the required content of site plans.

Site Sign Posting Requirements  In conjunction with all rezoning, PUD, site development plan, and sketch plan cases, the applicant is responsible for the posting of a sign on the site.
